former Expos reliever Luis Ayala agreed with the New York Yankees on a minor league contract. Now aged 33, Ayala has had difficulty in recent years, from all of last season in AAA, walking among the organizations of the Dodgers, Rockies and D'backs.
He threw for the last time in the majors in 2009 with the Twins and Marlins.
